a response to my post yesterday

A lovely commenter named Kristen brought it to my attention yesterday that one of my images, the one with love on the wrists, is most likely a part of the movement "To Write Love on Her Arms." Kristen directed me to this site:

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

Their vision is so true and I strongly believe in everything they say

You were created to love and be loved. You were meant to live life in relationship with other people, to know and be known. You need to know that your story is important and that you're part of a bigger story. You need to know that your life matters.

I have never personally dealt with depression, addiction, self-injury or suicide. I have seen the effects these things have on family and friends though and I think this is a cause worth taking a moment to read about and perhaps even donate to. There is even a store to purchase shirts and other items to support the cause both by purchasing and promoting. 

I love the simplicity of the designs and the deons are my favorite.

If you know me I love shirts with hoods.

They have a blog too and twitter for all you little birds out there.

Thank you Kristen for the information it is always good to learn something new and have friends who are willing to educate rather then write one off for ignorance.
