Friday Frock and Blog Hop

I Love

It has always been a daydream of mine to flip through Anthropologie and actually buy all the wonderful eye candy. Back here in earth though it's never going to happenw it out a ton of guilt to go with that fabulous outfit. I like to try to not include guilt intot my outfits, it just makes them less fun.

Drink and a Dress (Beach)

For this installment of Drink and a Dress I give you the Florida, enjoy responsibly. I am just trying to get through the rest of this week and it's killing me. I just spent part of my week visiting sister and future brother-in-law. It was great , but it made me want my vacation even more. I am in need of an escape from this house! These chores, but you know what? In getting ready for a vacation as a mother and person who owns a house, it's more work then you ever want to do. Just the act of getting ready for vacation is making me feel like an insane person. I really do need this drink!

The Florida

1/2 oz gin

1 1/2 tsp Kirschwasser® cherry brandy

1 1/2 tsp triple sec

1 oz orange juice

1 tsp lemon juice

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

There is nothing like packing for a vacation to make me want to buy dresses I don't need. I came across this site called

Their clothes are right up my alley, well for casual beach and summer wear. I found a few jewels that would love to go on vacation with me but, alas are not going to even though they really want to.  So, as with all my online window shopping I will share them with you, my dear readers. I, honestly, think putting the clothing I like but am not buying in this blog is even more rewarding then filling my cyber cart and dumping it before checkout. Thanks for indulging me!

Window Shopping Wednesday

Have you even looked at Boden USA? Their stuff is adorable and of course as always with me I have never bought any of it and probably still won't, but I keep looking at this casual dress and the outfit they have with it. See below:

Is this outfit to young for me?

I am a lady/mother at a quater of a century old and I am wondering am I too old for this outfit? I love the playfulness of it and would be happy if I could frolick with sheep in the field all day but, alas I cannot.  Is is socailly acceptable for someone to actually wear these things together. I love layering long sleeves under other things and did it through highschool much to my mothers dismay. Crazy color combinations and tee-shirts that I had been wearing seem tacky to me compared to this. Opinions are needed!

I'll have the wedding with a side of vacation please!

My sister's wedding is coming up very soon and we are definitely ready for our vacation that goes along with it! Thanks sister for decided to do a destination weddingI already cleaned the house so all we have to basically do is straighten up and change the bed sheets before we leave.  This will be mine and Hubby's first official road trip together and Peanut's too. We'll see how this works out, it's trial for being able to drive to Disney in the winter. Peanut starts school on September 7th, we actually have a meeting with her teacher right before we leave for vacation. I am currently doing wash to try and get ready to start packing. Anybody know of anything they think I might forget while packing? I'm going to pick up special activity books for the Peanut for the ride. She is normally very easy to please in the car but, I am trying to be prepared for the worst. Suggestions are welcome!

Musical Monday IV

The title of this Musical Monday play list I Thought I didn't like Country Music is because I really thought I didn't like country music. Then Hubby starts basically only listening to country and I find myself singing along and enjoying myself. Don't get me wrong I didn't hate country music I just thought it wasn't my thing. Now Peanut and I find ourselves listening to country in the car and singing with each other and seat dancing. Here are some of our most recent favorites.

Apple pie is my chicken fried, it makes me feel like home and fall. Fall is one of my favorite seasons. That is one of the best things about Pennsylvania it has all the seasons and oy all of them, even thought winter can sometimes seem like it's going on forever and summer seems to short at times.

My father and I have been working on his house and it is finally starting to look like we've gotten somewhere! Which is very exciting, I have been painting and spackling  and am finally seeing results.
