Friday Frocks for a Friend

I have a lovely lady freind who has mentioned to me that she has been invited to a 1940's themed wedding. First hearing this I felt a twinge of jealousy, I wish I had freinds who invited me to something like. Then I got excited for her and told her she would look fabulous in a wiggle dress.

Now the 1940's were a time of war and not a fashionable time to be a show off. But the cocktail dresses that were worn to the oscars those years deffinately has a distinct style. Pretty much I see it as women are gorgeous and you have to let those curves show.

You might as well face it

I lost Tuesday and Wednesday this week, sorry for that.

On to Thursday I guess...

My sister sent me a link to this ladies blog called Mila's Daydreams. It is just about the most adorable and beautiful thing ever. Looking at that made me take more pictures of my peanut. Sometimes I am picture crazy and make her do all sorts of strange things for fun pictures, but recently I have slacked off for she started making horrible faces right in the middle of our photo shoots every time I finally get it right. There is her little naughty face in what was supposed to be an innocent photo.

Into this...

I would really like to know who taught my daughter to make these horrible faces in photos.

I have consulted the experts and the consensus is that I, myself, have taught my daughter to do this. I can't even blame anyone else? This stinks, but makes for great photos for when she is older too. I think we'll have to whip these out and challenge her to make that same face again once in a while.

I’m so happy that I’ve gotten this far. I started blogging when one of my girl friends showed me her blog and I though oh what a nice outlet. I am a stay at home mother of one who normally had extra kids during the day. My days had been running together and I had become very forgetful. I thought well if anything I can entertain myself with this and perhaps just keeping some part of my day for myself will keep me sane. I have found that blogging is much more that that it is a way to make new friends and is sort of like therapy well a free kind of self inflicted therapy.

Feeling good about myself!

Hubby and I have also joined the gym near our house and I have been doing an hour of cardio every day and I have realized I feel great. I may not be succeeding at losing weight (instead I keep gaining), but I am fitting in my clothes better and I feel more confident. It is a wonderful thing. I was able to swim non-stop for a whole hour the other day and I will be doing that again very soon. I haven’t done that since high school it made me feel incredible. I guess I better set some goals for myself while I am feeling so positive about my life.

I am also very excited for my sister who gets to work from her new home now and she is super excited about. She and fiancé just had a house warming party and it went fabulous. I am so proud of her and so excited for her new adventures. I think soon perhaps I will talk her into either starting her own blog or joining mine. She is fabulous writer and story teller, much better than myself and I think she enjoy herself.

Friday Follows!

Today H2O, tomorrow who knows

I wasn't exactly sure about what I was going to blog about today then I woke up and realized it was Thursday and I was overly thirsty. Thirsty Thursday easy enough of the start then I realized I was parched and so thirsty I drank three glasses of water. I'm still thirsty, I guess today is going to be a watery Thursday.

That on top of everything else I have to get done today is going to be tiring. I make daily to do lists on our whiteboard in out kitchen but once in awhile the lists just takes over the whole thing. I look at it like did I really let everything get this bad that I have to get it all done today and it has to be up here on the board harassing me? But it does or else I won't do it, not that I haven't run away from it for a few minutes writing this blog post. So thanks for the escape now I must get to going and move along.

As I am typing this I am still so thirsty I am on the fourth glass of the day and it's only 7:30 in the AM. This is ridiculous. I hope these images refresh you better then they are refreshing me. Check out this Street Art that mixes Mario's world right into our own. Pretty cute right?

If I had three wishes….

My peanut watched The Suite Life on Deck with this “magic“ lamp and then asked me a question. “Mommy if you had three wishes what would you wish for?”To which I respond, “ Hmmm, good question peanut I’ll have to think about it.” Then I started thinking, I wonder would I use the wishes on myself? My family? Or be selfless? I think I would like to do a little bit of each.

I started thinking about world peace and then I decided that was too general a term and how would you judge if that had happened would people still be hurting each other, probably. I think again perhaps a way for people to all treat each other better. Perhaps I have it now, if it’s flawed let me know so I can get it right if I ever get my three wishes.

My first wish would be for all people to respect each other.

The second wish I think I will use for our family and that would be to pay off all our bills. Including the mortgage on our house. That would be a lot of weight off our shoulders and then we could start saving not only for practical things like new cars and college, but for fun things like vacations and beach houses.

Second I would wish to pay off all of our family’s bills and debts.

My third wish I am still working on. When you have endless possibilities for a wish and you only have one left you really need to think hard about it. Any suggestions?

I have thought about:

Wishing myself fit and thin.

Wishing myself some bigger boobs.

Nothing crazy just something to hold my dress up and slightly fill out a shirt.

Wishing for new wardrobe every season.

Wishing for a Mac Book Pro and CS whatever number is the newest.

Wishing away allergies in general.

Wishing for my bathrooms to always stay clean.

I am out of thoughts for right now. Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Happy Floral Friday

So I was thinkg about what I would jot down today that would not only amuse myself, but my lovely readers as well and then I realized I have a a millions errands to run and I have the peanut plus one today, so I better get started. I had recently seen a picture of a woman wearing all flowers as her clothing and I had remembered how pretty  it  looked so i figured I would gather some pictures and share them with you.

This one makes me want someone to get on of those metal dress forms and put it in their garden and like vines grow all over it. I think that would be beautiful and fun to see how the plants would grow, if I had a yard I would deffinatly be interested in doing this. If you do dot his please send me a piture.
