My Mother and I were hoarders of Holiday and Christmas cards I swear one year we found about a thousand we liked for very, very discounted prices. This coming February it will be two years since she passed and I have finally run out of our stored splendor. Now normally I don't use so many cards but Hubby and I put our end of October wedding thank you(s) in with Christmas Cards for everyone who attended our wedding. It seemed like a great idea at the time and I followed it up last year with cards for all of those families plus more but, this year I am sticking to family and those who have sent us cards in the past two years. This was my pathetic attempt at a lead into my participation into Shutterfly’s Holiday Card blogging promotion. If you are thinking about using Shutterfly to make your cards and have a blog, I highly recommend clicking
here. You get 50 free cards just for blogging, something most of us already like to do for fun so why not.
I have used
Shutterfly to make photo books for grandparents before and it has always worked out well and my sister-in-law had made tiny flip books full of pictures from the year with her girls in them and they were always the Peanuts favorites. I am excited to make a card with adorable photos of Peanut in her almost five-ness. I think we will be happy to have done this finally. I have always put photos in with the cards we send to people but, to making the card have the photo as part of it must be a good idea since people have been doing it for just about forever. I am getting excited just thinking about it. So, in true Firefly fashion I started paroozing the
Holiday and
Christmas photo cards here are some of my favorites:
 |
| I love the solid picture with the graphics placed on top. |
 |
| I love the wrapping paper and that adorable baby doesn't hurt either. |
 |
| I love how the classic red border and almost rainbow sprinkle tree work together. |
 |
| I really like the full page photo with the self contained message. |
 |
| I really like the use of different fonts in this one, but I would have to make sure our photo was more contrasting behind the word merry. |
 |
| I'm not really a collage kind of girl but, this one is simple enough I could give it a shot. |
 |
| I love the use of the red word bubble, it's awesome. |
Do you have a favorite from this list?
Let me know.
Happy Thursday!
xoxo
